Our Work

Properties from Pine Mountain Lake to Sonora. Here is what each kind of job involves, start to finish.

Straight answer

These are drawings, not photographs

Every picture on this page was made by a computer. Not one of them is a photograph of a real job, a real property or a real customer, and none of them is here to suggest otherwise. They are an honest account of how each kind of work actually goes — what Bryan does, in what order, and what you are left with — drawn because the real photographs are not ready yet.

They are being replaced. Bryan is putting together a set of photographs of his own work, and as those arrive these drawings come down.

Had work done? Your photographs would be better than any of this

If Bryan has worked on your place and you are happy with how it came out, a photograph of it would say more than a drawing ever will. Call or email him and say which pictures you are happy to have on the website — he will not put anything up without your say-so, and he will take it down again whenever you ask, no reason needed.

Tell him whether you would like your first name and town under it, or nothing at all. Addresses are never shown either way.

The list on the fridge, worked through

Doors that stick, hinges that sag, shelves that were never right — the jobs too small to call anyone out for, done in one visit.

  • Doors, hinges, latches, handles and cabinet fronts put back true
  • Shelving, curtain rails and fixings into something that will hold
  • Screens, trim, steps and railings made sound again
  • Bring him the whole list — one trip out beats four

Interior and exterior painting

Stripped back and brought home

A tired room or a weathered outside wall, taken from worn out to looked after.

  • Everything moved out or masked up before a brush goes near it
  • The old finish taken back properly, not painted over
  • Two coats, cut in by hand where it matters
  • Sheets up, brushes washed, and the room put back as it was

Fire-safe clearing

The work that changes how a property fares

Defensible space done the way the fire service asks for it, zone by zone.

  • Needles and leaf litter off the roof, out of the gutters, away from the walls
  • Low limbs raised so a ground fire cannot climb
  • Brush thinned and spaced instead of scalped
  • Everything cut is hauled off, not left in a pile

Yard waste

The pile behind the fence, gone

Storm droppings, needles, cones and cuttings — loaded and taken away the same visit.

  • Raked, gathered and bagged or barrowed
  • Loaded by hand, so beds and gravel are not churned up
  • Taken to the proper facility, receipt kept
  • The ground swept down before he leaves

Junk and debris — coming soon

Cleared out and taken away

Garages, sheds, and the things too big or too awkward for the truck.

Not taking hauling jobs yet — Bryan is setting up a proper trailer first. Tell him if you would use it.

  • Appliances, furniture, construction leftovers, general clear-outs
  • The lifting and the loading are his, not yours
  • Anything that can be donated or recycled goes that way first
  • A disposal fee is shown in the estimate, never a surprise

Eyes on the place while you are away

For second homes: a regular look round, and a straight answer about what he found.

  • A walk round inside and out, to an agreed checklist
  • Photos of anything that needs your decision
  • Small things put right on the spot where they can be
  • A message the same day, whether or not there is anything to report
