Wainwrights Handyman & Land Management is a one-person business run by Bryan Wainwright in Groveland, California. This page explains what information we collect through this website, why, and who else handles it. The short version: we use your details to do your job, and nothing else. We never sell them.

What we collect

When you ask for an estimate

Your name, phone number, email address (if you give one), property address, the best time to reach you, the kind of work you need, what you tell us about it, and the day and time you would prefer.

If you create an account in the customer portal

• Your email address and a password. The password is stored scrambled by our sign-in provider; nobody here can read it.
• If you choose Continue with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us. Nothing else.
• Anything you add or do in the portal: your name, phone and address, messages to Bryan, when you say “go ahead” on a price, and times you ask for.

Kept only in your own browser

• Your sign-in, so you do not have to sign in on every visit. Signing out removes it.
• Your ticks on the fire-safe checklist. These never leave your device.

This site has no advertising and no tracking. It does not use analytics tools or advertising cookies. Its lettering (fonts) is loaded from Google Fonts, and the portal loads one piece of code from jsDelivr, a public code library. Like any website you visit, those services can see your device’s internet address when they send those files.

How we use it

• To reply to you, give you a price, book a time and do the work.
• To show you your jobs, prices, booked dates and messages in the portal.
• To keep the records any business keeps, such as what work was done and what was paid.

We do not put you on marketing lists, and we do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.

Who else handles it

A few services do specific jobs for us. They only get what they need for that job.

• Supabase stores the job records and runs the sign-in for the portal, on servers in the United States.
• Our email provider sends the sign-in and password emails, and the note to Bryan when you ask for an estimate.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google, and because Bryan’s business email is Gmail.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (from Google) delivers a short alert to Bryan’s phone when you send a request or a message. The alert contains your name and the kind of work only, never your phone number, address or message.
• Bryan’s own phone keeps the details of his jobs, so he has your address and number when he is on his way.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

How we keep it safe

• Everything travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
• Each customer can see only their own jobs. Only Bryan can see everyone’s.
• Private notes Bryan keeps about a job (a gate code, where the key is) are never shown in the portal.

No system is perfect, but we have taken care to keep your information to the people who need it.

How long we keep it

For as long as you are a customer, and after that for as long as records of the work are needed, for example for taxes. Ask us to delete your details at any time and we will, except anything the law requires us to keep.

Your choices

• See and correct your details any time under My details in the portal.
• Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by calling or emailing Bryan (below).
• Close your account the same way. Signing out simply ends the sign-in on that device.

Because this site does not track you, it treats every visit the same whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on their property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
